LIST: NEW ATTRACTIONS LIKE ART IN THE PARK TO MAKE GREAT SUMMER MEMORIES

As the Philippines has officially entered summer season, the time is right for you and your dearest to explore the country's newest attractions that you've never been to before.

For instance, Art in the Park recently returned after four years at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Makati City last March 19. The one-day event featured 60 exhibitors that range from leading art galleries and collectives, independent art spaces, and student groups, among others.

If you missed the event, then there's no need to worry. There are more new attractions for you to enjoy this summer. Check them out below.

George Point Dinopark

Dinosaur nerds can expect a breathtaking experience at this dinosaur theme park located in the municipality of Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija. Here, they can marvel at the animatronics of iconic prehistoric beasts such as the triceratops, brachiosaurus, and tyrannosaurus rex.

Aside from being able to feel what it's like to live in a world where these terrifying reptiles roam free, visitors can also partake in educational tours, picnics, camping, and ride utility terrain vehicles. What's also great about this park is that it strives to be a pro-environment attraction as it uses renewable energy systems through solar and wind power and a rainwater harvesting system that recycles water.

Manila Zoo

If you still haven't explored the newly renovated Manila Zoo, now's the perfect time to do so! After its gates closed for almost three years, the zoo that brought much happiness to many children and families finally reopened in November last year.

As you enter its premises, one of the first animals to greet you is the zoo's main attraction, Mali, the beloved Asian elephant that has been making children squeal at her humongous size for many years now. Aside from this, the wildlife park also boasts a freshwater crocodile measuring up to 18 feet long.

You can also find various feathered beauties like the ostrich and scaly creatures such as reticulated pythons, spitting cobras, and red iguanas, among others.

Rage Room

With the country shaking up with summer's blazing heat, it's inevitable for you to feel a little hot-headed at times. It's not good to keep all that boiling pressure bottled up inside, so why don't you head to the so-called "Rage Room,"  the new leisure spot in Quezon City that is specifically for people who want discharge all of their rage, frustrations, stress in their preferred way.

The area features a freedom wall where you can write whatever words that you couldn't say with your mouth or get a little bit messy by splashing paint all over it. You can also go the violent route by smashing empty bottles and throwing plates at the wall. Every session costs P299 to P499 and lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Clock Tower Museum

The Clock Tower Museum in Manila City Hall is one of the city's relatively new tourist attractions that is worth checking out. As the Philippines' first-ever clock tower museum, you'll definitely bring home lots of good memories with its immersive and multi-sensory design that is curated to tell the history of Manila. 

In fact, the tower in itself is already historical, having been built in the 1930s and had the distinction of being the tallest clock tower in the Philippines at its height of 100 feet. In your visit, you'll be treated to an educational experience about the Battle of Manila during World War II, where you can immerse yourself in several video presentations as well as a 3D-wall installation highlighting important moments during the war.

Art in Island

If you're craving for a museum experience where you can dive into a world where art and technology reach new heights, then you can the newly revamped Art in Island would be your best bet.

Now rebranded as "The Media Square," the museum located in Cubao, Quezon City will take you on a creative trip with its art installations across 15 areas that utilize projection mapping. Through this technique, ordinary objects such as walls and floors are transformed into a canvas that offers an astonishing experience of light and illusion.
