(SPOT.ph) When planning a vacation, functionality, affordability, accessibility, and the look of the place are often what's considered in booking a place to stay for the duration of your trip. On an island like Siargao, a private villa called Mango Tango checks all the boxes if you want to live the island life—but with more style.

Mango Tango has two two-storey villas in the center of General Luna, Surigao del Norte. Priced at P4,990 per night, each villa is fully equipped, accessible, and pet-friendly which can accommodate up to four people for each villa.

Check out this private villa in Siargao:

Mango Tango has two neighboring private beach villas, and both have two floors each. The interiors use a mix of dark wood and raw concrete—two polar opposites that somehow work together to create the villas' stunning visuals.

Mango Tango's kitchen on the first floor is equipped with a gas stove, rice cooker, refrigerator, freezer, dinnerware, cookware, and coffee machine. Right beside it is the dining area which has a narrow rectangular wooden high table with four high wooden stools.

The living room and bathroom are also located on the first floor. The living room is simple and is meant for lounging as there is no television in this area. As for the bathroom, Mango Tango does provide toiletries guests can use in their semi-open shower. The shower area is concealed by lush flora, but if you're not comfortable showering outdoors, there is a bamboo curtain you can untie for your privacy.

Take the stairs up to the second floor and it will lead you to the spacious bedroom with a queen-sized bed. If you have one or two additional people in the group, there is an extra queen-sized bed that can be pulled out from underneath the main bed. Do take note that the room has no partitions or dividers, so you and your companions are in one big room.

The bedroom has access to the balcony that overlooks the jungle-like scenery—a perfect view to wake up to with your cup of coffee or a bottle of beer as you watch the stars at night. The balcony has a single-seat swing to lull you to dreamland.

Between the two villas, there are communal spaces as well. There's an open-access bar for all guests to have their coffee, beer, lounge, or work. In the worst-case scenario that you need to work while on vacation, the villas do have WiFi.

When you're ready to soak up the sun and swim in the crystal clear waters of Siargao, it would be best to rent a motorcycle to get around the island. Mango Tango is less than five minutes away from the island's tourist attraction, Cloud 9, and it's also near dining establishment Spotted Pig which, yes, is where the Makati City café originally came from.

Mango Tango is at Bayod Street, PangPang, Backroad General Luna, Siargao Island General Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte. Raters for the villa start at P4,990. To place a reservation, check out Mango Tango's Airbnb listing.
